Zinat Tasneem is currently working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Mechatronics Engineering, RUET. She has received M.Sc Engg. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from RUET in 2017. In her M.Sc research, a variable speed wind turbine equipped with Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) has been considered.  This research work provides a simulation model of a directly driven wind turbine generation system having a new and effective control strategy with PMSG.  The aim of that research was to improve the LVRT capability of the wind farm as well as the dynamic performance. Her research interests include aerodynamics, power electronics, and renewable energy. She has published three journal articles and eight conference proceedings so far. Her teaching courses are  Electrical Circuit (EEE 1287),  Signals and Linear Systems (EEE 2297),  Electro-Mechanical Systems and Drives (EEE 2227),  Control Systems (MTE 3101),  Power Electronics (EEE 3283), and Aerodynamics and Avionics (MTE 4105(c)).
