The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at RUET proudly announces a landmark achievement in its academic history — the conferral of its first-ever PhD degree.
Mr. Masud Ibn Afjal (Roll: 2004203001, Registration No.: 56/2020–21, Session: 2020–2021) has become the first PhD graduate of the CSE department, marking a significant milestone for both the department and the university. This momentous achievement highlights the department’s growing commitment to advanced research and academic excellence.
Mr. Afjal completed his doctoral research titled “Effective Classification-Driven Remote Sensing Data Analysis Using Spatial-Spectral Feature Learning” under the supervision of Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Mondal, with Professor Dr. Md. Ali Hossain as co-supervisor.
