Mr. Jewel Hossen is actively involved in the food chemistry research area specially in lipid technology. His research activities include extraction of oil and antioxidant from the natural source with/without pre-treatment and characterization. He investigates the changes of food components under various treatments. He studies the antioxidant activity of natural extracts.

Mr. Hossen is also interested in computational chemistry study. He can study geometry, UV-Vis, Infra red spectra, HOMO-LUMO, various thermodynamic parameters etc of a molecule in Density Functional Theory (DFT) and molecular docking between ligand and macromolecule.
