Jahid Hasan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET). He earned his Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (BURP) degree from RUET in 2021, securing first position with the highest CGPA in the Faculty of Civil Engineering across all departments (URP, Architecture, BECM, and Civil Engineering). Since then, he has been actively engaged in teaching, research, and professional practice.

Before entering academia, Jahid gained practical experience as a Junior Urban Planner at Development Design Consultants Ltd. (DDC), where he contributed to planning projects such as the Integrated City Master Plan for Dhaka (2020–2050), Laksam Pourashava Master Plan (2020–2040), and feasibility studies for tourism zones in Cox’s Bazar. 

He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles (Q1) in leading international journals, including Taylor & Francis, Springer Nature, Elsevier, and MDPI, contributing valuable insights into the application of geospatial tools in planning and urban sustainability challenges. In his teaching, Jahid combines theoretical foundations with practical applications. Beyond teaching, Jahid actively mentors undergraduates, guiding thesis projects.
